| (1) |
An application for an RPC shall be made on the prescribed form published on the website of the Authority, within 30 days of complying with the requirements provided in this regulation. |
| (2) |
An applicant of an RPC shall— |
| (a) |
not be younger than 18 years of age; |
| (b) |
hold a medical certificate in terms of Part 67; |
| (c) |
have completed the flight training referred to in this Part; |
| (d) |
have passed a theoretical knowledge examination referred to in this Part; |
| (e) |
have passed a skills test referred to in this Part; and |
| (f) |
have paid the applicable fee in terms of Part 187. |
| (3) |
The application referred to in subregulation (1) shall be accompanied by— |
| (a) |
documentation proving that an applicant has passed a theoretical knowledge examination referred to in regulation 71.02.3; |
| (b) |
an applicant’s flying logbook summarised in the format as prescribed in Document SA-CATS 71; |
| (c) |
a skills test report as prescribed in Document SA-CATS 71; |
| (d) |
two recent passport-size photographs of an applicant; and |
| (e) |
proof of payment of the fee as prescribed in Part 187. |
| (4) |
The Director may issue an RPC to an applicant if satisfied that an applicant complies with the requirements referred to in subregulations (2) and (3). |
| (5) |
When issuing an RPC, the Director may impose any condition deemed necessary. |
