| (1) |
A meteorological service provider shall supply meteorological information required by— |
| (a) |
an air service operator for pre-flight planning and in-flight replanning; |
| (b) |
flight crew members for pre-departure planning; and |
| (c) |
aircraft in flight for tactical operations. |
| (2) |
Upper-air grid information supplied by the WAFC for pre-flight and in-flight re-planning shall be in the GRIB code form. |
| (3) |
Information on significant weather supplied by WAFC for pre-flight planning and in-flight re-planning shall be in the BUFR code form and in IWXXM GML form. |
| (4) |
Meteorological information supplied to an air service operator and flight crew members shall— |
| (a) |
cover a flight in respect of time, altitude, and geographical extent; |
| (b) |
relate to appropriate fixed times, or periods of time; |
| (c) |
extend to an aerodrome of intended landing; and |
| (d) |
cover the meteorological conditions expected between an aerodrome of intended landing and alternate aerodrome designated by an air service operator. |
