| (1) | An applicant for the issuance of a hang-glider Grade C flight instructor rating shall— |
| (a) | hold a pilot certificate with a hang-glider category rating for a minimum period of 24 months; |
| (b) | be a holder of a hang-glider C endorsement for a minimum period of 12 months; and |
| (c) | have completed a training internship at an approved hang-glider training organisation for a minimum period of 10 days as prescribed in Document SA-CATS 106. |
[Regulation 106.04.6 inserted by section 14 of the Thirty-Third Amendment of the Civil Aviation Regulations, 2026, Notice No. 7844, GG55226, dated 21 August 2026 and shall come into operation upon Publication in the Government Gazette, save for Part 92, which shall come into operation upon the Proclamation by the President of the Civil Aviation Amendment Act, 2021 (Act No. 22 of 2021]
