| (1) | An applicant for a pilot certificate with the hang-glider category rating may be issued with an endorsement on the successful completion of the requirements as prescribed in Document SA-CATS 106. |
| (2) | An applicant for addition of an endorsement shall have— |
| (a) | acquired experience as prescribed in Document SA-CATS 106; |
| (b) | successfully completed training as prescribed in Document SA-CATS 106; |
| (c) | passed the theoretical knowledge examinations as prescribed in Document SA-CATS 106; and |
| (d) | passed a competency check conducted by a holder of a hang-glider flight instructor endorsement. |
| (3) | A person requiring a hang-glider B endorsement shall be a holder of a hang-glider A endorsement for at least six months. |
| (4) | A person requiring a hang-glider C endorsement shall be a holder of a hang-glider B endorsement for at least six months. |
| (5) | A person requiring a hang-glider tandem endorsement shall be a holder of a hang-glider C endorsement. |
| (6) | A person requiring an addition to an endorsement shall notify the Director in an appropriate form of such endorsement within 90 days of receiving such endorsement from an instructor. |
