| (1) | An owner who intends to register an aircraft in the Republic may, on payment of the fee prescribed in Part 187, apply to the Director on the appropriate form for the reservation of special registration marks. |
| (2) | Upon receipt of the application referred to in subregulation (1), the Director may reserve the special registration marks for a period not exceeding twelve months if the registration marks have not already been allocated or reserved and are deemed suitable. |
| (3) | The reservation of special registration marks may, on payment of the fee prescribed in Part 187, be renewed for an additional period of twelve months. |
