(1) | An application for a class or type rating must be made on the appropriate prescribed form within 30 days of the skills test. |
(2) | The application must be accompanied by— |
(a) | documentary evidence showing compliance with the requirements of the relevant provisions of this Subpart; and |
(b) | the appropriate fee as prescribed in Part 187. |
(3) | If the applicant complies with all the relevant requirements, the Director must issue a class or type rating on the appropriate prescribed form. |
(4)
(a) | A DFE or flight instructor must, on satisfactory completion of all the requirements for the issue of a class or type rating, endorse the logbook of the applicant entitling the applicant to exercise the privileges of the rating, as PIC or pilot instructor as the case may be. |
(b) | A DFE or flight instructor may place a restriction on the applicant to act as copilot or as third pilot as the case may be. |
(c) | The Director reserves the right to withdraw the privilege of the rating should any irregularity with respect to the endorsement be found. |
