| (1) | An applicant for an FSTD Instructor Authorisation must have passed the appropriate written examination as prescribed in Document SA-CATS 61. |
| (2) | The holder of a valid instructor rating may be exempted from those parts of the examination already passed for the issue of his or her instructor rating. |
| (3) | In the case of an instructor rating that has lapsed for a period of more than five years, the applicant will be required to undergo the examinations referred to in subregulation (1). |
