| (1) | An ATO shall not operate a UAS in controlled airspace, except if such operation is approved by the Director. |
| (2) | If the Director grants an approval in terms of subregulation (1), such approval shall, subject to compliance with the conditions prescribed by the Director, be— |
| (a) | reflected in an ATO’s approved training and procedures manual and OpSpec; and |
| (b) | restricted to VMC in an ATZ and CTR below 400ft. |
