Subpart 4 : Instructor Rating

106.04.11 Renewal of flight instructor rating

 

(1) A holder of a pilot certificate who intends to renew a flight instructor rating, shall—

 

(a) have attended an instructor seminar conducted by an approved ARO under the auspices of the Authority within 24 months immediately preceding the date of expiry of the rating;

 

(b) have given not less than three flight instruction hours within the preceding 24 months, of which one hour shall have been within the 12 months immediately preceding the date of expiry of such rating; or

 

(c) have undergone a competency check as prescribed in Document SA-CATS 106.
