| (1) |
An applicant for a pilot certificate with a paraglider category rating may be issued with a paraglider endorsement on successful completion of the requirements as prescribed in Document SA-CATS 106. |
| (2) |
An applicant for an addition to a paraglider endorsement shall have— |
| (a) |
the experience as prescribed in Document SA-CATS 106; |
| (b) |
successfully completed training as prescribed in Document SA-CATS 106; |
| (c) |
passed theoretical knowledge examination as prescribed in Document SA-CATS 106; and |
| (d) |
passed a competency check conducted by a holder of a paraglider flight instructor endorsement. |
| (3) |
A holder of a pilot certificate with a paraglider category rating who wishes to receive an intermediate endorsement shall hold a basic endorsement for at least six months and have acquired the experience prescribed in Document SA-CATS 106. |
| (4) |
A holder of a pilot certificate with a paraglider category rating who wishes to receive a sport endorsement shall hold an intermediate endorsement for at least 12 months and shall have acquired the experience prescribed in Document SA-CATS 106. |
| (5) |
A holder of a pilot certificate with a paraglider category rating who wishes to receive a tandem endorsement shall— |
| (a) |
hold a pilot certificate with a paraglider category rating for at least 24 months; |
| (b) |
hold a sport endorsement for at least 12 months; |
| (c) |
hold a valid medical certificate issued in terms of Part 67; and |
| (d) |
have acquired the experience as prescribed in Document SA-CATS 106. |
