| (1) | The applicant for the issuing of a glider pilots instructor rating shall have demonstrated to an appropriately rated flight instructor the ability to perform as a flight instructor the procedures and Application manoeuvres as prescribed in Document SA-CATS 68 with a degree of competency appropriate to the privileges granted to the holder of a glider pilots instructor rating. |
| (2) | The skills test, referred to in subregulation (1), shall be demonstrated in a glider for which the glider pilots instructor rating is sought. |
| (4) | The applicant shall undergo the skill test, referred to in subregulation (1), within 12 months of passing the theoretical knowledge examination, referred to in regulation 68.03.4, and within the 90 days immediately preceding the date of application. |
