| (1) |
A person who wishes to import an aircraft into the Republic shall submit the following documents, in respect of an aircraft for which a South African certificate of airworthiness is desired: |
| (a) |
a certificate or notification of cancellation from an appropriate authority of a State in which an aircraft was last registered, or a certificate or notification of non-registration from an appropriate authority of a State from which an aircraft is imported; |
| (b) |
an export certificate of airworthiness or existing certificate of airworthiness, valid or expired, as applicable; |
| (c) |
a certified statement issued by a manufacturer, an approved AMO or a former air service operator to the effect that mandatory modifications and special inspections have been carried out; |
| (d) |
a list of embodied STCs, service bulletin and approved major modifications on the product; |
| (e) |
a list of airworthiness directives incorporated from a manufacturer’s State of Design; |
| (f) |
a list of time or life limited items on a product; |
| (g) |
a copy of an aircraft mass and balance report and equipment list showing the masses and moment arms of the main components and installed equipment; |
| (h) |
current manufacturer’s aircraft flight manual; |
| (i) |
current aircraft equipment list; |
| (j) |
a copy of instructions for continued airworthiness including a maintenance planning document or maintenance manual, and airworthiness limitations document, as applicable; |
| (k) |
a copy of an airframe, engine, propeller and auxiliary power unit logbook and release from the last shop visit, as applicable; |
| (l) |
a copy of a manufacturer’s production test flight report for an aircraft delivered from a factory; and |
| (m) |
an electrical load analysis correctly filled out and updated. |
