Subpart 1 : General

173.01.13 Renewal of Instrument Flight Procedure Design or Validation approval

[Regulation 173.01.13 heading substituted by section 34(a) of the Thirty-Third Amendment of the Civil Aviation Regulations, 2026, Notice No. 7844, GG55226, dated 21 August 2026 and shall come into operation upon Publication in the Government Gazette, save for Part 92, which shall come into operation upon the Proclamation by the President of the Civil Aviation Amendment Act, 2021 (Act No. 22 of 2021]

(1)	An application for the renewal of an instrument flight procedure design approval or instrument flight procedure validation approval, shall be—

[Words preceding Regulation 173.01.13(1)(a) substituted by section 34(l) of the Thirty-Third Amendment of the Civil Aviation Regulations, 2026, Notice No. 7844, GG55226, dated 21 August 2026 and shall come into operation upon Publication in the Government Gazette, save for Part 92, which shall come into operation upon the Proclamation by the President of the Civil Aviation Amendment Act, 2021 (Act No. 22 of 2021]

(a)	made to the Director on the appropriate prescribed form; and

(b)	be accompanied by—

(i)	the appropriate fee as prescribed in Part 187; and

(ii)	the operations manual referred to in regulations 173.02.1 and 173.03.1 as applicable.

(2)	The holder of an approval shall, at least 90 days immediately preceding the date on which such approval expires, apply to the Director for the renewal of such approval.
