This Part applies to all screening conducted at— |
| (a) |
an aerodrome with scheduled operations; |
| (b) |
an air carrier facilities; |
| (c) |
a regulated agent facilities; |
| (d) |
an air traffic control facilities; and |
| (e) |
a catering facility serving in civil aviation. |
[Regulation 110.01.1(1) substituted by section 17(b) of the Thirty-Third Amendment of the Civil Aviation Regulations, 2026, Notice No. 7844, GG55226, dated 21 August 2026 and shall come into operation upon Publication in the Government Gazette, save for Part 92, which shall come into operation upon the Proclamation by the President of the Civil Aviation Amendment Act, 2021 (Act No. 22 of 2021]

The part does not apply to— |
| (a) |
screening conducted by the Authority, South African Police Service, South African National Defence Force and the South African Revenue Service; and |
| (b) |
an aircraft search conducted by the crew of such an aircraft. |
