Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Agreement, no provision which allows the engagement or employment of an employee on any class of work or on any conditions shall be deemed to relieve the employer from paying the remuneration and observing the conditions which he would have had to pay or observe had such engagement or employment not been prohibited, and the employer shall continue to pay such remuneration and observe such conditions as if such engagement or employment had not been allowed.
