D. Leave

26. Family Responsibility Leave

 

26.1 An employee accompanying his/her biological or adoptive parent to the doctor or hospital to obtain medical treatment will now also qualify for Family Responsibility Leave.

 

26.2 In order for an employee to be entitled to Family Responsibility Leave under the conditions as mentioned in sub-clause 26.1 the employee must register his/her parents with his/her employer by providing valid proof of parenthood i.e., a birth certificate, and a valid medical certificate, when claiming this leave, confirming the parent's illness and that the employee's assistance was required.
