I, Lehlohonolo Molefe, Registrar of Labour Relations, in terms of section 106(2A), cancel the registration of University of Pretoria Workers' Organisation (UPWO) (LR2/6/2/1262) with effect from 09/09/2026.
The reasons for my decision are as follows:
| • | The organisation failed to comply with the provisions of section 98, 99 and 100 of the Act, and |
| • | The organisation ceased to function in terms of its constitution |
the trade union ceased to function as a genuine trade union as envisaged in the LRA.
The name of the Organisation has been removed from the Register of Trade Unions.
