Part D : Provisions for the Northern Region (Clothing)

Wage Schedule-Millinery Sector

 

B. The following provisions shall apply to employers and employees in the Millinery Sector of the Industry:

 

Where any of the Council's prescribed wage rates in the National Main Collective Agreement is less than the National Minimum Wage (NMW) it will be adjusted upwards to at least the NMW.  The onus is on the employer to ensure that they are not in contravention of the NMW.

(3) Subject to the provisions of this part of the Agreement, the minimum wages that shall be paid to and accepted by the undermentioned classes of employees, employed at Millinery Sector establishments, shall be as follows:

Group A (i.e employees on the 0.5% Productivity Incentive Scheme)

Group B (i.e employees NOT on the 0.5% Productivity Incentive Scheme)

NB: All employers who employed staff on 2011/2012 New Entry Wage Dispensation, must with the coming into effect of this Agreement, increase the Weekly Wage for those employees by the agreed Wage Increase of 7%, Across-the-Board.

Prior to the introduction of short-time, consultation with the Trade Union shall be encouraged.

 

(a) A once-off payment equivalent to one (1) day's pay at the rates applicable as at the end of December 2020 shall be paid to all employees by no later than 1st June 2021.
