| (1) | A fixed term employment contract may not be entered into for a period longer than six (6) consecutive months, subject to the terms and conditions as stipulated in sections 198A to 198D of the Act. |
| (2) | For all fixed term contracts only contributions and contemplated in terms of clause 42 (1) and 45 are applicable for the first six (6) months. |
| (3) | For all learnerships only contributions and deductions contemplated in terms of clause 42 (1) and 45 are applicable for the duration of the learnership. |
