Subpart 4 : Provision of Meteorological Information

174.04.8 AIRMET information

 

(1) A MWO shall issue AIRMET information about occurrence and expected occurrence of specified en-route weather, in time and space, affecting the safety of low-level flights operating below flight level 100.

 

(2) AIRMET information shall be cancelled when a hazardous phenomenon is no longer occurring or is no longer expected to occur in an area concerned.

 

(3) Observed and recorded AIRMET information shall be valid for a period not more than four (4) hours.
