| (1) | An operator shall, when practicable, coordinate with the appropriate air traffic services unit (ATSU) any in-flight operational changes to a current air traffic services flight plan before the operator communicates such changes to the aeroplane. |
| (2) | When the coordination required by subregulation (1) is not practicable, the pilot shall be responsible for obtaining an appropriate approval and clearance from an ATSU, if applicable, before making a change in the flight plan. |
