The following timeframes, which have lapsed during the period of lockdown and Alert Level 4 of the national state of disaster declared for the COVID-19 pandemic, or which will lapse during the Alert Level 4 period, are hereby extended, or will be deemed to be extended, with effect from 27 March 2020 until further notice:
| (a) | Timeframes prescribed in terms of regulations published in terms of section 97 of the National Environmental Management: Biodiversity Act, or timeframes prescribed in terms of any applicable provincial conservation legislation, relating to the consideration of applications and issuing of permits, registrations and certificates; and |
| (b) | timeframes as contained in any permit, registration, and certificate or any condition in such permit, registration and certificate issued in terms of the legislation contemplated in paragraph 4(a), including timeframes with regard to validity periods. |
