3. Scope and Application

 

3.1 A Compliance Officer or Event Safety Officer as per SASREA of a sport or recreational body must, include all health protocols including Spectator Risk Assessment Plans and measure in the safety plan that is submitted to the SAPS and copy the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture as part of the SASREA application for consideration and approval.

 

3.2 A sport and recreation body must submit to the Department their events schedule on a monthly basis at least 1 month ahead of event delivery for the purpose of effecting a monitoring programme.

 

3.3 Reports of each event must be available on request at least 2 weeks after event delivery.

 

3.4 Such proposal must be made in strict compliance with Protocols made by a Cabinet Member responsible for Health and in keeping with international best practice and provisions of SASREA Act 2 of 2010.

 

3.5 The Department may, after consideration of the proposal make additional requirements if any.

 

3.6 The Department must, if satisfied with the proposal made in terms of paragraph 3.1 above, issue a compliance letter.
