| (1) | All uncancelled certificates of competency or service issued under the Merchant Shipping (Certificates of Competency) Act 45 of 1925 shall continue in force as if issued under this Act, but shall be valid only for the purpose for which, and the extent to which, they would have been valid in accordance with the provisions of the aforementioned Act. |
