Part IV : Marking Requirements

16. Indicating the factory, product and date codes

 

(1) A code mark consisting of the name of the canning establishment, the product concerned and the date of manufacture  thereof, and which has been approved in writing by the Executive Officer, shall be indicated (e.g. embossed, applied by inkjet, etc.) on every container: Provided that in the case of transparent containers where the contents are clearly visible, the product code need not be indicated.

 

(2) The requirements in sub-regulation (1) above shall not be applicable to imported canned and pickled  vegetables.
