Agricultural Product Standards Act, 1990 (Act No. 119 of 1990)9. Secrecy |
No person shall disclose any information acquired by him or her through the exercise of his or her powers or the performance of his or her duties in terms of this Act and which relates to the business or affairs of any person, except—
| (a) | in so far as it is necessary for the proper application of the provisions of this Act; |
| (b) | where it is deemed to be in the interest of the public or for the protection of the consumer; |
| (c) | for the purpose ofany legal proceedings under this Act; |
| (d) | when ordered to do so by any competent court; or |
| (e) | if he or she is authorized in writing to do so by the Minister. |
