Council appointed a panel of experts to update and develop the competence standards. The panel consisted of one member each from the eight institutions2 accredited to offer the BPharm, and members from the Pharmaceutical Society of South Africa (PSSA), the Independent Community Pharmacy Association (ICPA), the South African Association of Hospital and Institutional Pharmacists (SAAHIP), the Pharmaceutical Logistics Association of South Africa (PLASA) and the Innovative Pharmaceutical Association South Africa (IPASA).
