Constitution for the Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA)

30. The Chief Executive Officer and Other Employees

 

30.1 The CETA must appoint the Chief Executive Officer in accordance with objective selection criteria; whenever the position becomes vacant it must be publicly advertised;

 

30.2 The Chief Executive Officer is responsible to the CETA for the execution of its functions in terms of the Act and this Constitution and must—
30.2.1 Supervise the other employees of the CETA;
30.2.2 Perform the role of the accounting officer of the CETA charged with accounting for moneys received, payments made and property purchased by the CETA;

 

30.3 The Chief Executive Officer shall be assisted in the performance of his or her duties by other employees of the CETA appointed by the CETA Council in accordance with the CETAs recruitment policy and selection criteria;

 

30.4 The Chief Executive Officer shall attend all meetings of the CETA and its standing committees in an ex officio capacity.
