6. Wages

6.1 Minimum Wages

Minimum Wages (2) : Garment knitting establishments

 

Where any of the Council's prescribed wage rates in the National Main Collective Agreement is less than the National Minimum Wage (NMW) it will be adjusted upwards to at least the NMW.  The onus is on the employer to ensure that they are not in contravention of the NMW.

(2) Subject to the provisions of this part of the Agreement, the minimum wages that shall be paid to and accepted by the under-mentioned classes of employees employed at Garment Knitting establishments, shall be as follows:
