| (1) |
The Council consists of— |
| (a) |
five members representing employers in the mining industry; |
| (b) |
five members representing employees in the mining industry; |
| (c) |
four members representing departments of State; and |
| (d) |
the Chief Inspector of Mines, who most chair the Council. |
[Section 42(1) prescribes the membership of the Council.]
| (2) |
Every committee consists of— |
| (a) |
five members representing employers in the mining industry; |
| (b) |
five members representing employees in the mining industry; |
| (c) |
four members representing departments of State; and |
| (d) |
an officer of the Mine Health and Safety Inspectorate who must chair the committee. |
| (3) |
Every other committee consists of the number of members determined by the relevant establishing authority. |
| (4) |
The parties are entitled to equal representation on other committees. |
