1.	Check rear-view mirrors.

2.	Check to right and left for cross traffic and pedestrians.

3.	Decelerate, if necessary.

4.	Brake if visibility is restricted or in accordance with cross traffic and pedestrians.

5.	Select appropriate gear, if necessary.

6.	Proceed, if safe.

7.	Stop, if necessary.

8.	Apply parking brake, if applicable.

9.	Select neutral, if applicable.

10.	Select gear, if necessary.

11.	Observe, if applicable.

12.	Release parking brake, if applicable.

13.	Move off/proceed if safe.

Note A:

Right of way shall be given to traffic which was first to stop.
