Regulations relating to Unmounted Teeth: Amendment

4. Fees payable

 

(1) The application fee payable to the council for a permit shall be R13,478-00 and such amount shall only be refundable if the council rejects an application for a permit.

(3) The holder of a permit shall, in respect of each financial year, pay an annual permit fee of:
(a) R27,715-00 in respect of a dental trader supplying or selling unmounted artificial teeth;
(b) R12,601-00 in respect of a dental supplier; or
(c) a pro rata portion of the fee referred to in paragraph (a) or (b), as the case may be, calculated from the date of issue of the permit, for the unexpired portion of the financial year.

(4) The annual permit fee referred to in sub-regulation (3) shall be due on 1 March of each year and shall be payable by 31 March of that year: Provided that the annual permit fee referred to in sub-regulation (3)(c) shall be due on the date on which the permit concerned is issued and shall be payable by no later than one month after that date.

 

Liability

 

(1) The annual fees referred to in regulation 4(3)(a) and (b) is due 30 days after invoice date.

 

(2) If a person referred to in regulation 4(3), does not pay the annual fees referred to in the aforementioned paragraphs by the relevant date referred to in subregulation (1), the registrar shall send a reminder by e-mail and/or registered post to such permit holder's address, as entered in the Register.

 

(3) If a person referred to in regulation 4(3) does not pay the annual fees within three months after the date on which the reminder referred to in subregulation (1) was sent to the permit holder, the permit will be withdrawn in terms of section 33(4) of the Act.
