Any person who has been suspended or whose name has been removed from the register in terms of section 36 shall, if his or her profession is one which cannot be lawfully carried on under this Act by a person who is not registered, be disqualified from carrying on his or her profession, and his or her registration certificate shall be deemed to be withdrawn, until the period of suspension has expired or until his or her name has been restored to the register by the council.
