| (1) | A bursary for part-time study may be granted to a member of staff with regard to a course presented at an approved training institution and which is considered appropriate to the functions of the Commission by the chief executive officer for an amount not exceeding the total annual registration and tuition fees plus 10 per cent and for a period not exceeding the minimum duration or minimum remaining duration of the course concerned. |
| (2) | Before a bursary is granted to a member of staff in accordance with subregulation (1), such member of staff shall conclude an agreement in the form of Form 4 of Annexure A with the Commission. |
| (3) | The chief executive officer shall take such steps as he or she may deem fit to ensure that the training of prospective and serving members of staff takes place on an effective and cost-effective basis. |
