Chapter 10 : General Provisions

40. Language used during proceedings, investigations and hearings

 

(1) All proceedings, investigations and hearings in terms of the Act and these Procedures will be conducted in English, unless a party requests that the proceedings be conducted in another official language.

 

(2) A party who needs the services of an interpreter during any proceedings, investigations and hearings as contemplated in subarticle (1), must give reasonable notice to the Chairperson of the Panel, the Provincial Manager or any member of staff, as duly designated, who must make the necessary arrangements.
