Constitution for the Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA)

14. Vacation of Office by Members of the CETA and its Committees

 

Any member of the CETA or a committee shall vacate his or her office if—

 

14.1 His or her term of office expires;

 

14.2 His or her estate is sequestrated or he or she enters into a compromise with his or her creditors;

 

14.3 For permanent incapacity;

 

14.4 He or she is absent from two consecutive meetings of the CETA or Committee without leave from the CETA or Committee concerned;

 

14.5 He or she resigns by giving notice in writing to the Chairperson or Chief Executive Officer;

 

14.6 He or she is replaced by nomination of its constituency;

 

14.7 He or she, during the course of his or her term of office, is found guilty of a criminal Offence;

 

14.8 The nominating party withdraws its representative in writing;

 

14.9 The nominating party ceases to exist;

 

14.10 Guilty of serious misconduct;

 

14.11 He or she fails to comply with the Code of Conduct;

 

14.12 The Chairperson of a committee shall be replaced, as provided for, if a majority vote of no confidence in him or her is adopted by a quorate meeting.
