| 1) | An application in terms of regulation 51 must be in writing, and must be accompanied by— |
| a) | an explanation of the reasons for the application; |
| b) | any applicable supporting documents; and |
| c) | the prescribed application fee, if any. |
| 2) | competent authority must, within 14 days of receipt of an application, acknowledge receipt of the application in writing. |
