In these Regulations any word or expression to which a meaning has been assigned in the Act shall have the meaning so assigned and, unless the context indicates otherwise—
| 1.1 | "Department" |
means the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and "the Act" means the Veterinary and Para-Veterinary Act, 1982 (Act No. 19 of 1982);
| 1.2 | "Minister" |
in these regulations shall mean the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries; and
| 1.3 | "Council" |
in these regulations shall mean the South African Veterinary Council.
