1.	In these Regulations any word or expression to which a meaning has been assigned in the Act shall have the meaning so assigned and, unless the context indicates otherwise—

1.1	"Department" means the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and "the Act" means the Veterinary and Para-Veterinary Act, 1982 (Act No. 19 of 1982);

1.2	Unless otherwise indicated, Minister in these regulations shall mean the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries;

1.3	Unless otherwise indicated, Council in these regulations shall mean the South African Veterinary Council.
