A financial co-operative providing long-term or short-term insurance to its members is required to register in terms of the Long-term Insurance Act, 1998 (Act No. 52 of 1998), or Short-term Insurance Act, 1998 (Act No. 53 of 1998), despite its registration in terms of this Act.
