| (a) |
must recommend the appointment of any suitable employee of the Tribunal or any other suitable person employed by the State, as the case may be, as inspector or investigator; and |
| (b) |
must issue each inspector or investigator with a certificate in the prescribed form stating that the person has been appointed as an inspector or investigator in terms of this Act. |
| (2) |
When an inspector or investigator performs any of his or her functions in terms of this Act, the inspector or investigator— |
| (a) |
must be in possession of a certificate issued by the Tribunal to him or her in terms of subsection (1); |
| (b) |
must inform any person who is affected by the inspector’s or investigator’s actions in terms of this Act of the existence of the certificate referred to in subsection (2)(a) and of that person’s right to see it; and |
| (c) |
must show that certificate to any such person who— |
| (i) |
is affected by the inspector’s or investigator’s actions in terms of this Act; and |
| (ii) |
requests to see the certificate. |
