Chapter 12 : Co-operatives Advisory Council

88. Term of office and conditions of service of members of Advisory Council

(1) The Minister must determine—
(a) the term of office of members of the Advisory Council, which may not be more than three years; and
(b) any other conditions of appointment not provided for in this section.

 

(2) A member of the Advisory Council  whose period of office has expired is eligible for reappointment.

 

(3) Members of the Advisory Council  may resign in writing.

 

(4) Members of the Advisory Council  are not remunerated for their services, but may be reimbursed for expenses incurred by them in carrying out their duties, as determined by the Minister, with the concurrence of the Minister of Finance.

 

(5) The Minister may remove a member of the Advisory Council  from office for—
(a) serious misconduct;
(b) permanent incapacity; or
(c) engaging in any activity that may undermine the integrity of the Advisory Council .
