| (1) | The Department of Small Business Development is the central coordinating department, which must facilitate and ensure effective coordination across government and the private sector. |
| (2) | There must be a reporting mechanism to Parliament through the structures of the Co-operatives Advisory Council and Provincial Co-ordinating and the Interdepartmental Committees relating to areas of policy change and review, support programme design and implementation. |
