Chapter 5 : Governance of Co-operatives

Purchase

(1)	A co-operative must, in writing, notify the registrar—

(a)	of the full names, address and identity number of each person appointed as a director, within 30 days of such appointment;

(b)	of my change of address of a director, within 30 days of knowledge of such change;

(c)	after any director has vacated office, within 30 days of such vacation;

(d)	of the reason for the resignation or removal of a director from office; and

(e)	of such further information as may be prescribed by the Minister.

(2)	A director must, in writing, inform the co-operative of any change of address, within 30 days of such change.

(3)	A co-operative that fails to comply with subsection (1) or a director who fails to comply with subsection (2) is guilty of an offence.

(4)	The Minister must by notice in the Gazette, prescribe the form, manner and time period for submission of the information required in terms of subsection (1) and (2).
