A person who complies with the provisions of regulation 5 and the professional or academic requirements which are contained in the applicable PMC for a post or rank, may be considered for appointment or enrolment in the post and rank recommended, with due regard to-
| a) | the competency and appropriate experience determined in the PMC; and |
| b) | the inherent requirements of that post. |
