Part 3 : Powers relating to catchment management agencies |
The Minister has the responsibility to manage and authorize the use of the nation’s water resources.t the Minister fulfils the functions of a catchment management agency in a water management area for which no catchment management agency is established, or where such an agency has been established but is not functional.The Minister may dispense with certain requirements of this Act for as long as is necessary to deal with an urgent situation or an emergency.
