11. Removal and blending of must and wine

 

(1) Must and wine obtained from grapes that were pressed by virtue of an authority shall not for any purpose whatsoever be removed from the cellar at which those grapes were pressed.

 

(2)

(a) Must and wine obtained from grapes that were pressed by virtue of different authorities shall only be blended after the Authority has issued a blending sheet in respect of the proposed admixing to the participant concerned.
(b) An application for a blending sheet shall be made on a form obtainable from the Authority for this purpose.
(c) Such application shall be lodged with the Authority at least one working day before the proposed blending is to be done.

 

(3) A blending sheet shall not be issued unless the Authority is satisfied that the must or wine intended for blending has been obtained from grapes harvested on the same estate and pressed by virtue of different authorities.

 

(4) A participant shall record the applicable particulars in connection with a blending on the blending sheet and on the respective production sheet and wine.
