| (1) |
A person is disqualified from being appointed or continuing to serve as a member of the Board if he or she— |
| (a) |
is not a citizen of the Republic; |
| (b) |
is an unrehabilitated insolvent; |
| (c) |
has been declared by a court to be mentally ill or unfit; or |
| (d) |
has been convicted of a criminal offence. |
| (2) |
The Minister may, after due enquiry, remove a member from the Board on account of— |
| (d) |
absence from three consecutive meetings of the Board without the prior permission of the Board, except on good cause shown; |
| (f) |
conflict of interest; |
| (g) |
unethical conduct; or |
| (h) |
disqualification as contemplated in subsection (1). |
| (3) |
A member may resign by giving 30 days written notice of his or her resignation to the Minister. |
| (4) |
A member of the Board may be suspended from the Board by the Minister pending the consideration of the removal of such member from the Board. |
