| (1) | In the case of sampling to trace and confirm a disease condition, a sample consisting of a single plant or tuber may be taken at any time during the registration period of a unit. |
| (2) | All samples must be taken according to the prescriptions of the protocol, under supervision of a certification official or a person designated by the authority. |
