A contractor must, in addition to compliance with the provisions for the stacking of articles in the General Safety Regulations, 2003, ensure that—
| (a) | a competent person is appointed in writing with the duty of supervising all stacking and storage on a construction site; |
| (b) | adequate storage areas are provided; |
| (c) | there are demarcated storage areas; and |
| (d) | storage areas are kept neat and under control. |
